Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a senior Maintenance Engineer for our Pasir Gudang site in Malaysia. The role involves leading a two-person team and owning maintenance planning and execution to ensure equipment reliability.

You will oversee scheduling, contractor coordination, and alignment with other departments, with autonomy to drive the entire maintenance process, reporting to the plant manager.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the chemicals industry in Malaysia.
• Experience in related process industries is acceptable.
• Ability to work in autonomy but also as a team.
• Senior maintenance engineer who wants to step to a role with the possibility to manage the whole maintenance process in autonomy.

Responsibilities

Job description

One of our clients, German leader in the oleochemicals industry, is currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer for their production site in Pasir Gudang.

Managing a team of 2 engineers.

Overseeing maintenance operations: responsible for overseeing all aspects of the maintenance program, including the scheduling of maintenance activities, the selection of contractors and suppliers, and the coordination of maintenance activities with other departments.

Ensuring equipment reliability: responsible for ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and operating at peak efficiency. This includes developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs, as well as managing the repair and replacement of equipment as needed.

Profile:

Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical engineer).

Minimum 10 years of experience in the chemicals industry in Malaysia.

Experience in related process industries is acceptable.

Ability to work in autonomy but also as a team.

This is an ideal opportunity for a senior maintenance engineer who wants to step to a role with the possibility to manage the whole maintenance process in autonomy.
