Job summary

Oriental Eden (M) Sdn. Bhd is seeking a Utilities Maintenance Engineer to oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, water, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure at our facilities in Malaysia.

The role involves routine inspections, diagnostics, and coordinating with contractors to ensure safety and reliability. You will lead junior staff, document maintenance activities, and respond to emergencies to minimize downtime, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and utility infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve complex issues efficiently.
• Leadership and communication skills to coordinate with teams, supervise staff, and document maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on utility systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment malfunctions.
• Implement corrective actions and system upgrades to maintain operational efficiency.
• Monitor and manage utility systems, including water treatment, energy distribution, and HVAC systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and maintenance records.
• Collaborate with operations teams, contractors, and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.
• Train and supervise junior maintenance staff or technicians.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
