Job summary

NL Metals in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance & Electrical Technician to keep electrical systems, machines, and equipment running safely and efficiently in our factory environment. The role covers installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of motors, PLCs, VFDs, and automation components, with a focus on reducing downtime and improving OEE.

English and Bahasa communication are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or related field.
2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of PLCs, automation, motors, VFDs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, or Six Sigma is preferred.
Good communication skills in English & Bahasa; Mandarin welcome where it supports communication.

Responsibilities

Install electrical systems and components in factories.
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot electrical issues.
Repair and replace faulty motors, switches, relays, sensors.
Maintain machinery and equipment; support production operations.
Follow safety procedures and document maintenance logs; report major issues to supervisors or engineers.
