Maintenance & Electrical Technician is responsible for keeping electrical systems, machines, and equipment working safely and efficiently in factories, buildings, or facilities.
Job Responsibilities
1. Install Electrical Systems
- Install wiring, lighting systems, circuit breakers, and electrical panels.
- Set up electrical components for machines and equipment.
- Follow electrical drawings, diagrams, and safety codes.
2. Perform Preventive Maintenance
- Regularly inspect electrical systems and equipment.
- Test motors, control panels, sensors, and wiring.
- Replace worn or damaged electrical parts before failure.
3. Troubleshoot Electrical Problems
- Identify faults in machines or electrical systems.
- Use testing tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.
- Repair electrical faults quickly to reduce downtime.
4. Repair and Replace Components
Repair or replace faulty parts such as: Motors, Switches, Circuit breakers, Relays, Contactors &Sensors
5. Maintain Machinery and Equipment
- Work with production machines and automation systems.
- Ensure equipment runs efficiently and safely.
- Perform minor mechanical maintenance when needed.
6. Follow Safety Procedures
- Follow electrical safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Use proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
7. Documentation and Reporting
- Record maintenance activities and repairs.
- Update maintenance logs and inspection reports.
- Report major issues to supervisors or engineers.
8. Support Production Operations
- Respond quickly to machine breakdowns.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of PLCs, automation, motors, VFDs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, or Six Sigma is preferred.
- Good communication skills in English & Bahasa. Mandarin proficiency is welcome where it supports communication with customers, suppliers, or colleagues.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Support machine installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and production efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
