Job summary

MTT Learning Academy Sdn Bhd is seeking a Facilities & Operations professional to oversee day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the school premises in Penang. You will supervise outsourced cleaners and gardeners, conduct routine inspections, and coordinate contractors to ensure standards are met for classrooms, offices and grounds.

Responsibilities include monitoring attendance and performance of outsourced staff, liaising with service providers, following up on defects, and supporting events

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the school premises and report to the Facilities & Operations Executive.
• Supervise, coordinate and monitor outsourced cleaners and gardeners to ensure work is completed according to schedule and required standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of classrooms, offices, toilets, common areas, outdoor areas and school grounds.
• Monitor the attendance, deployment and performance of outsourced cleaning and gardening personnel and address or escalation any issues as required.
• Liaise with contractors and service providers on day-to-day cleaning, landscaping and maintenance matters.
• Follow up on defects, repair works and service issues to ensure timely rectification.
• Carry out maintenance and minor repair works where required.
• Coordinate external contractors carrying out servicing, repair or maintenance works at the school, where required.
• Support the setup and arrangement of facilities, furniture and equipment for school events and activities.
• Identify and report safety hazards, major maintenance defects or areas requiring attention to the Facilities & Operations Executive.
• Ensure outsourced personnel and contractors comply with the school’s safety, security and safeguarding requirements.
• Perform any other facilities and maintenance-related duties as assigned by the Facilities & Operations Executive or Management.
