Job summary

Psdc in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia is seeking an Application Engineer to support on-site setup and testing of machine vision systems for AOI applications. You will troubleshoot, tune hardware, and integrate lighting, cameras, lenses, and controllers while coordinating with customers.

You will also provide training, perform sample evaluations, and keep daily written communications with customers and internal teams to ensure tasks are tracked and completed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment.
• Knowledge of machine vision / image processing / motion control is an added advantage.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas.
• Fresh graduates welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• onsite system setup and testing for machine vision AOI systems.
• Troubleshooting and provide technical assistance to customers.
• Mechanical fine-tuning and adjustment in-house and on-site.
• Integrate machine vision hardware such as lighting, controller, camera, lenses and optics.
• Provide training to customers.
• Sample evaluation to study machine vision / motion control feasibility.
• Maintain daily communication with customers to ensure tasks and action items are followed up on-site.
• Daily reporting via email to customers and internal teams.
