Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Machine Operator to operate and monitor production equipment following standard operating procedures. You will ensure correct machine settings, monitor output, maintain quality, and keep accurate records to meet daily targets.

The role requires daily machine checks, routine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and adherence to safety and 5S standards. You will report faults promptly and contribute to equipment reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines according to standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Ensure correct machine setting before operation
• Monitor output quantity, minimize rejects material and maintain production efficiency
• Achieve daily production targets and maintain cycle time
• Monitor product quality, perform in-process inspections and identify defective products
• Ensure complete production records and check sheets
• Perform daily basic machine checks and cleaning
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance for the machine
• Report abnormalities or machine faults immediately to supervisor
• Diagnose and repair machine breakdowns
• Minimize machine downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE correctly
• Ensure machine safety devices are functioning
• Maintain cleanliness of machine and work area (5S)
• Complete production records, check sheets, and downtime report
• Inform supervisor when spare parts are required and perform for spare part replacement
