Job summary

Better Power (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an M&E Technical Engineer (Technical Submission & Coordination). You will review and coordinate M&E drawings, specifications and contract documents to ensure compliance and timely submissions.

You will handle technical submissions, analyze comments from main contractors and consultants, and liaise with vendors and internal teams. A proactive, detail-oriented engineer with strong MS Office skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in M&E engineering, construction, or contracting.
• Strong understanding of M&E systems, drawings, specs.
• Experience with technical submissions, approvals, shop drawings, and comment sheets.
• Ability to analyze comments and prepare clear technical responses.
• Good communication and coordination with contractors, consultants, vendors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Independent, proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand M&E drawings, specs, and contract docs.
• Review and analyse technical comments from contractors and consultants, and prepare responses.
• Identify issues, discrepancies, and non-compliance; propose solutions.
• Explain issues and proposed solutions to the Director to support decisions and vendor coordination.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on technical matters and material compliance.
• Review catalogues, submissions, shop drawings, method statements and other documents.
• Coordinate submissions, approvals, RFIs, and follow up on outstanding comments.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, vendors and internal teams on M&E matters.
• Work with Document Controller to ensure documents reviewed and submitted on time.
• Provide technical support and other engineering duties as assigned.
