Job summary

Exypnos Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical & Electrical Services to manage financial aspects of M&E projects. Responsibilities include preparing claims, cost estimation, and ensuring contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

The role involves collaboration with project teams to submit accurate tenders, monitor expenditures, provide cost reports, and identify savings opportunities while supporting dispute resolution when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimation and contract administration for M&E projects.
• Knowledge of tendering processes and cost control.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and cost reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit claims for mechanical and electrical services in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for claims.
• Negotiate and resolve disputes relating to claims with clients or subcontractors.
• Analyze project specifications and prepare accurate tenders for mechanical and electrical works.
• Estimate the costs for labor, materials, and equipment required for M&E services.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance in tender submissions.
• Monitor project expenditure, manage cost control, and provide accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare cost reports, valuations, and forecasts for M&E projects.
• Identify potential cost savings and risk mitigation strategies.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts for M&E services.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide advice on contractual matters and assist in the resolution of disputes.
• Attend meetings and provide updates on financial status and progress of M&E services.
