Job summary

ASIAMALAYSIA INFRASTRUCTURE SDN. BHD. is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost estimates, BOQ, and tender documents for M&E works, and to review drawings to ensure accurate take-offs.

You will monitor expenditures, evaluate claims, and assist in procurement while ensuring contract compliance. The ideal candidate holds a related degree and 1–2 years of M&E QS experience, with proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in M&E QS roles within the construction industry.
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and tender documents for M&E works.
• Assist in tender evaluation, negotiation, and award processes.
• Review M&E specifications and drawings to ensure accurate quantity take-offs.
• Monitor and control project expenditure for M&E works.
• Evaluate contractor and subcontractor progress claims, variation orders (VOs), and final accounts.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure all M&E work costs are accurately captured and properly documented.
• Support project team in procurement and selection of M&E suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Liaise with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Maintain updated records of contracts, correspondence, and cost changes.
• Resolve contractual and commercial issues related to M&E packages.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior.
