Job summary

Lien Dak Construction Co Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee M&E installation works on mid-to-large scale buildings, ensuring safety, QA/QC standards, and alignment with drawings and schedules.

You will coordinate testing, commissioning, authority inspections, and handover, review shop drawings and method statements, and liaise with consultants, contractors, and Malaysian authorities to ensure UBBL compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, M&E, or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building construction or property development.
• Strong background in ACMV, fire protection, electrical, ELV systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office; BIM knowledge is a strong advantage.
• Strong site leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job description

• Site Supervision & Quality: Monitor daily M&E installation works (ACMV, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, ELV). Ensure all execution adheres to safety, QA/QC standards, approved drawings, and project schedules.
• Testing & Handover: Coordinate and supervise all M&E testing, commissioning, authority inspections, and final handover processes.
• Technical Integration: Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions. Coordinate with structural, civil, and architectural teams to eliminate clashes and technical delays.
• Authority & Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with consultants, contractors, and relevant Malaysian statutory bodies including BOMBA, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), SPAN, TNB, and local authorities for full UBBL compliance.
• Project Administration: Assist in evaluating variation orders (VOs), claims, contractor performance, and maintain proper documentation (as-built drawings, T&C records, progress reports).

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, M&E, or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building construction or property development, with a proven track record in mid-to-large-scale developments.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong background in ACMV, fire protection, electrical, ELV systems, and Malaysian statutory approval processes.
• Software: Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office. Knowledge of BIM (Revit/Navisworks) is a strong advantage.
• Soft Skills: Strong site leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to manage consultants and contractors independently.
• Base: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Penang, with readiness to work on-site.
