Job summary

Woh Hup Group is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager (M&E) to lead all quality assurance and quality control activities for hyperscale data centre projects. The role ensures M&E works meet project specs, client requirements, and international standards while supporting testing, commissioning and handover.

You will develop and implement PQMP, manage ITPs and FAT/SAT processes, and mentor on-site QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 8–12 years of QA/QC experience in M&E construction, with at least 3 years in a QA/QC Manager role.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale data centre, mission-critical, industrial, semiconductor, or high-tech facility projects.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems including HVAC, Electrical Distribution, ELV, Fire Protection, Plumbing, and BMS.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, IEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, ASME, and Malaysian standards.
• Experience managing ITPs, FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning, and quality documentation.
• Strong understanding of inspection processes, quality audits, NCR management, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Willing to be based on-site in Selangor.

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager (M&E) to lead all Mechanical & Electrical quality assurance and quality control activities for hyperscale and mission-critical data centre projects. The successful candidate will ensure all M&E works comply with project specifications, client requirements, international standards, and regulatory requirements while supporting successful testing, commissioning, and project handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) for all M&E works.
• Lead QA/QC activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards.
• Establish and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality procedures.
• Review and approve material submittals, technical submissions, shop drawings, and inspection documentation.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors.
• Ensure all M&E installations comply with project specifications, local authority requirements, and international codes.
• Monitor site quality performance and conduct regular quality audits and inspections.
• Manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), corrective actions, preventive actions, and root cause analysis.
• Ensure all quality records, testing reports, inspection checklists, and handover documentation are properly maintained.
• Work closely with Construction, Engineering, Testing & Commissioning, and Project Management teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support integrated systems testing (IST), pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final project handover.
• Lead quality meetings and provide regular QA/QC reports to senior management and clients.
• Mentor and supervise QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors on site.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives and drive a strong quality culture across the project team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8–12 years of QA/QC experience in M&E construction, with at least 3 years in a QA/QC Manager role.

• Experience managing ITPs, Method Statements, FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning, and quality documentation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
