Job summary

Jayaplus Development Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator/Engineer to review and coordinate M&E design drawings, ensuring they comply with project specs, standards and approved designs.

You will identify and resolve discrepancies between M&E, structural, architectural and client requirements, plan and supervise mechanical and electrical works on site, and coordinate with contractors, consultants and authorities to meet schedules and quality.

Responsibilities and duties of the M&E Coordinator/Engineer, include (but are not limited to) the following:

Review and coordinate M&E design drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, guidelines and approved designs.

Identify and resolve discrepancies and coordination issues between M&E, structural, architectural, interior design (ID) and client requirements.

Plan, coordinate, supervise and monitor mechanical and electrical works, including inspection, testing and commissioning activities.

Prepare, review and submit M&E coordination/shop drawings in accordance with project requirements and construction schedules.

Coordinate M&E installation works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and quality standards.

Monitor workmanship and ensure M&E works are executed according to approved plans, specifications and project requirements.

Coordinate with M&E contractors, specialist subcontractors, NCS, suppliers, consultants, clients and relevant authorities on technical matters, work progress, material delivery and project schedules.

Ensure M&E contractors and specialist subcontractors comply with relevant authority requirements and documentation for final inspection and CCC requirements.

Review and monitor M&E contractors’ shop drawings, as-built drawings, testing and commissioning records, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals to ensure they reflect actual site conditions and completed works.

Compile and coordinate O&M manuals, including equipment specifications, installation details, operating procedures and relevant technical documentation.

Review, identify and monitor M&E-related variations, site instructions and changes in scope.

Plan and monitor drawing requests, technical submissions and approvals to ensure all submissions meet the required deadlines.

Coordinate and assist the Site Superintendent in the installation, operation and maintenance of temporary M&E utilities and services.

Ensure compliance with company policies, project procedures, safety requirements and applicable regulations throughout the execution of M&E works.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior or Management from time to time.
