Zalam Corporation Sdn Bhd in Gopeng, Perak is seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator to oversee mechanical and electrical installations on our construction projects. This full-time role coordinates with management, contractors, and sub-contractors to ensure on-time delivery, quality workmanship, and budget compliance.

You will conduct daily site inspections, review drawings, manage procurement, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as M&E Coordinator or M&E Supervisor in construction.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and installations.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and specifications.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, project management, and site safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all mechanical and electrical installations on construction projects.
• Liaise between project management, contractors, and sub-contractors for smooth M&E execution.
• Monitor progress against schedules and timelines.
• Ensure M&E works comply with drawings, specs, codes and regulations.
• Conduct daily site inspections and prepare reports on progress and issues.
• Manage procurement, delivery, and storage of M&E components.
• Coordinate with site safety personnel to meet health and safety standards.
• Document completed M&E works and maintain records.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, delays, and discrepancies in M&E installations.
• Support QA/testing of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Communicate progress and status to clients and stakeholders.

Zalam Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator to join our growing team in Gopeng, Perak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing mechanical and electrical works on our construction projects. As M&E Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical and electrical installations are executed to the highest standards, on schedule, and within budget. This role is essential to maintaining project timelines and ensuring compliance with all technical specifications and safety regulations on site.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all mechanical and electrical installations and works on construction projects
• Liaise between the project management team, contractors, and sub-contractors to ensure smooth execution of M&E works
• Monitor progress of mechanical and electrical works against project schedules and timelines
• Ensure all M&E works comply with technical specifications, drawings, and relevant building codes and regulations
• Conduct daily site inspections and prepare comprehensive reports on M&E progress and any issues identified
• Manage material procurement, delivery, and storage for mechanical and electrical components
• Coordinate with site safety personnel to ensure all M&E works meet health and safety standards
• Document all completed M&E works and maintain accurate records and documentation
• Identify and resolve technical issues, delays, and discrepancies in M&E installations
• Support the project team in quality assurance and testing of mechanical and electrical systems
• Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders regarding M&E work progress and status

What we look for

• Proven experience as an M&E Coordinator, M&E Supervisor, or similar role within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, installations, and best practices
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and technical specifications
• Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, project management principles, and site safety regulations
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate various teams simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with contractors, sub-contractors, and stakeholders
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and compliance
• Problem-solving abilities and capacity to make decisions under pressure
• Proficiency in relevant software such as project management tools and Microsoft Office applications
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical and electrical engineering or construction supervision are preferred
