M&E Construction Manager — EPC/EPCM Projects

Job summary

Sprint Gate Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the M&E construction works on EPC/EPCM projects in Malaysia. You will ensure safety, quality, schedule and cost targets are met, coordinating with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, safety and commissioning teams to deliver on plan.

You should have 8–10 years of M&E construction experience, a relevant engineering degree, and strong leadership, planning and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years relevant M&E construction experience; managerial/supervisory experience preferred.
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Building Services Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Knowledge of construction planning, M&E coordination, site management, manpower/resource planning, QA/QC, safety, subcontractor management, technical drawing interpretation and problem solving.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; MS Project or equivalent project scheduling/reporting tools.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• CIDB-recognised construction safety requirements; working-at-height and other project/site competency training as applicable.
• Able and willing to travel and work at project sites within Malaysia and overseas when required.
• Valid driving licence and own transport may be required depending on site assignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction phase of EPC/EPCM M&E projects in accordance with the approved project execution plan
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, short-term look-ahead plans, manpower plans, work sequencing and resource allocation
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project management, QA/QC, safety and commissioning teams to ensure construction readiness and seamless delivery
• Direct, manage and supervise daily site activities to achieve safety, quality, productivity and schedule requirements
• Monitor physical progress, manpower, equipment, materials and subcontractor performance; identify and mitigate risks or delays
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to resolve construction and interface issues
• Ensure construction activities comply with applicable Malaysian occupational safety and health requirements, company HSE procedures and client/site rules
• Oversee inspection and testing activities to ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs and project requirements
• Monitor construction productivity, labour utilisation, material usage and equipment deployment against approved plans
• Prepare and maintain construction progress reports, manpower reports, site records, constraint logs and action trackers
