A leading engineering consulting firm is looking for a skilled CAD Drafter in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The role involves producing detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical and electrical systems, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring adherence to design specifications. Candidates should have a relevant certificate or degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in M&E CAD drafting, with proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of BIM applications like Revit preferred.

Job description

Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models for mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical layouts.

Collaborate closely with engineers to develop 2D and 3D drawings for mechanical and electrical services using AutoCAD/ Revit for construction projects.

Conduct clash detection and resolve any conflicts within the model to ensure smooth coordination among different systems and ensure that all BIM MEP models adhere to company standards.

Ensure M&E drawings generated adhere to design specifications and within assigned project schedule.

Manage and keep a good record for the M&E drawings produced.

Qualifications

Professional Certificate/ Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Computer Aided Design (CAD).

Preferably with minimum 3 years of experience in M&E CAD drafting in the construction industry.

Proficient in the use of AutoCAD software.

Knowledge in & BIM software such as Revit and hands‑on experience in developing 3D MEP drawings and conducting clash analysis for construction projects will be an advantage.

Disciplined, able to work under pressure and a good team player.
