Job summary

ADA, the Data and AI Experience Company, is seeking a strategic deal professional in Kuala Lumpur with 2–3 years in M&A. You will build end-to-end financial models, evaluate technology transactions, and coordinate across legal, tax, and operations to drive acquisitions and integrations.

The role requires strong modelling, clear storytelling for boards, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams with high ownership mindset. Onsite in Malaysia, with opportunities across markets.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in M&A deal execution.
• Experience with IT, SaaS, or tech transactions.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Ability to present outputs to senior stakeholders.
• High ownership with ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• CA or MBA (Finance); engineering background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential M&A opportunities and assess strategic fit.
• Build and maintain financial models (DCF, comps, accretion/dilution).
• Conduct due diligence coordinating across legal, tax, and operations.
• Prepare investment memos, deal summaries, and board presentations.
• Track tech deal landscape and benchmarking.
• Support integration planning and post-merger workstreams.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations to execute transactions.

• Part of the strategy team to identify potential M&A opportunities and assess the strategic fit with the organization's goals
• Organization's goals Build and maintain financial models DCF, comparable company analysis, accretion/dilution, and purchase price allocation
• Conduct commercial and financial due diligence, coordinating across legal, tax, and operational workstreams
• Prepare investment memos, deal summaries, and board-level presentations
• Track and analyse the technology deal landscape - sector mapping, target screening, and competitive benchmarking
• Support integration planning and post-merger workstreams as deals close
• Work collaboratively with other departments within the organization, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure successful execution of transactions

What We're Looking For

• 2–3 years of experience in M&A deal execution - investment banking, Big 4 transaction advisory, or in-house corporate development
• Demonstrated exposure to IT, ITES, SaaS, or broader technology transactions
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills - comfortable owning a model end-to-end
• Ability to synthesise large amounts of information into clear, concise outputs for senior stakeholders
• Sharp commercial instincts - understand what drives value in a tech business
• High ownership mindset with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
• CA, MBA (Finance), engineering + MBA background a plus
