Job summary

Confidential in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager to lead a luxury fashion boutique, maximizing productivity and profitability through team development and excellent client service.

You will define sales targets, coach staff, manage stock and ensure premium customer experiences, while maintaining brand standards and reporting to the Retail Director. This role requires strong leadership and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in retail management
• 4+ years managerial experience in a retail setting
• Experience in luxury or premium retail is highly preferred
• Strong leadership - able to develop, mentor and coach a sales team
• Results-driven with strong commercial awareness
• Excellent client service, interpersonal and communication skills
• Good understanding of retail operations and KPIs
• Good command of English

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote a loyal clientele according to the sales and brand strategy (client-telling)
• Ambassador for the brand within the market, responsible for the store's external relations – marketing, merchandising and local activities
• Define the annual sales targets/budget/forecast
• Determine and monitor objectives and sales targets according to budget/forecasts daily, weekly and monthly
• Optimize the store contribution and operations
• Ensure fair and efficient rostering to maximize on-floor manpower, especially during peak periods
• Maintain optimized staff-to-customer ratio and ensure customers are looked after
• Monitor expenses to achieve positive store contribution and stay within budget
• Drive ongoing growth of store turnover and keep store investments aligned with market needs
• Stock management, inventories, replenishment, and visual merchandising
• Health, safety and security compliance and store procedures
• Effective staff communication and reporting to ensure smooth operations
