Job summary

Conrad Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Supervisor - Specialty Outlet (Pre-Opening) to lead the outlet's service standards, cost control, and staff performance as it prepares for opening.

You will supervise team members, ensure guest satisfaction, and coordinate with kitchen and bar to deliver exceptional dining experiences, while maintaining Hilton standards. Good English and a proactive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years managerial position in a luxury hotel or international chain hotel.
• Good English skills, both verbal and written to meet business needs.
• Motivated and committed, approaching all tasks with enthusiasm and seize opportunities to learn new skills or knowledge in order to improve personal performance.
• Flexible and responds quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested of you.
• Maintain high team focus by showing cooperation and support to colleagues in the pursuit of team goals.
• Strong leadership and training skills.
• Outgoing personality and willing to work for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the food and beverage menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, flavours, and recommended pairings.
• Confidently explain and recommend dishes while understanding guests’ dietary requirements, preferences, and special requests.
• Deliver personalized, attentive, and professional service, anticipating guests’ needs throughout their dining experience.
• Welcome, greet, and engage guests warmly, creating a memorable first and last impression.
• Introduce guests to the restaurant's unique dining concept, including the panoramic skyline views and distinctive dining environment, where appropriate.
• Ensure the restaurant, tables, service stations, and overall ambience are clean, organised, and ready for service at all times.
• Conduct pre-service briefings and ensure the team is fully informed of reservations, VIP guests, special occasions, and guest requirements.
• Supervise and support the team during service to ensure smooth operations and consistently high service standards.
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, and other departments to ensure efficient and seamless service.
• Handle guest feedback, enquiries, and complaints professionally and elevate issues to the Supervisor / Manager when required.
• Support upselling by making appropriate and personalised recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
• Train, coach, and guide new team members and trainees on service standards, menu knowledge, and guest engagement.
• Lead by example in grooming, communication, teamwork, and professional conduct.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or operational concerns to the Assistant Outlet Manager or Outlet Manager promptly.
• Uphold the Food & Beverage mission and service philosophy and contribute to continuous improvement of the guest experience.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Outlet Manager or Outlet Manager promptly.
