Job summary

Soong Yuan Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, is seeking an experienced Mechanic for a full-time role. You will perform routine maintenance on Lorries, diagnose faults, and replace worn parts while keeping meticulous maintenance records.

The ideal candidate has proven mechanic experience, knowledge of Lorry spare parts, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with the physical fitness to handle hands-on tasks in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar maintenance role.
• Strong knowledge of Lorry spare parts is an added advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on work as required by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of Lorry to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and defects using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Conduct repairs and replacements of worn or damaged parts according to specifications and company standards.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs completed and spare parts used.
• Conduct inspections of Lorry to identify potential issues before they become critical problems.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations when working with heavy spare parts.
