Responsibilities

• Operate articulated lorries (trailers) safely and professionally in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies
• Transport goods to designated destinations within scheduled timeframes
• Conduct pre-journey and post-journey vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements
• Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery records and documentation as required by regulatory standards
• Load and secure cargo appropriately, ensuring compliance with weight regulations and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with HQ staff and customers regarding delivery schedules
• Adhere strictly to speed limits, traffic regulations and company safety protocols at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle interior and exterior
• Report accidents, incidents or traffic violations immediately to management
• Support the company's commitment to excellent customer service by representing the business professionally

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Lorry Driver (Trailer) to join tawai trading sdn bhd. This is a full-time position based in Tuaran, Sabah. As a Lorry Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of articulated lorries (trailers), ensuring timely delivery of goods whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role is crucial to our logistics operations and directly impacts our ability to serve our clients effectively.

Key responsibilities

Operate articulated lorries (trailers) safely and professionally in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies

What we're looking for

Excellent vehicle maintenance and pre-journey inspection skills

Strong time management and route planning abilities to meet tight delivery schedules

Ability to work independently whilst maintaining regular communication with the dispatch team

Professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and accident prevention

Physical fitness and ability to undertake loading and securing of cargo as needed

Familiarity with local routes in Sabah and surrounding areas is advantageous

Proficiency in completing digital delivery systems and documentation software is preferred
