Qualifications

• Physical fitness to lift and handle cargo safely.
• Strong time management and navigation skills to meet delivery schedules.
• Reliability, punctuality and commitment to safety and quality service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 3-ton lorry safely and efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and company driving standards.
• Plan and execute daily delivery routes to ensure on-time arrival at all customer destinations.
• Load and unload stocks from the vehicle, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption and vehicle inspections.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and cargo area.
• Comply with food safety and hygiene regulations during handling and transportation of goods.
• Report any accidents, traffic violations or vehicle defects to management immediately.
• Contribute to a culture of safety by following all company policies and procedures.
