Job summary

Wasco Process Engineering Sdn Bhd (Formerly known as Jutasama Sdn Bhd) is seeking a dedicated truck driver to perform daily driving, deliveries, and general site duties in Malaysia. You will transport goods, inspect vehicles, and ensure safety and compliance while coordinating with production teams to maintain smooth operations.

The role requires adherence to traffic laws and company procedures, with responsibilities including loading, unloading, and maintaining vehicle upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily driving and general work duties according to operational schedules and requirements.
• Deliver and collect goods, materials, equipment, and other items to and from designated destinations according to the planned schedule.
• Load, unload, arrange, and handle goods safely and properly in accordance with delivery orders and company procedures.
• Ensure all goods are properly lashed, secured, and protected before transportation.
• Operate company lorries, trucks, trailers, forklifts, or low loaders when required and authorized.
• Perform internal transportation and shuttling of goods and materials between designated work areas.
• Conduct daily inspection of company vehicles and report any defects, breakdowns, or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of company vehicles, including basic upkeep and painting when necessary.
• Assist with general work activities such as scrap metal disposal, bolt and nut tightening, saddle packing for shipping, furnace installation, jig fabrication, scaffolding erection, and other tasks as instructed.
• Assist Production Engineers, supervisors, and team members in carrying out general production and site activities safely and efficiently.
• Handle tools, equipment, and materials responsibly and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness in work areas, vehicles, and designated working spaces.
• Follow all traffic laws, company driving procedures, safety requirements, and occupational safety and health regulations when operating company vehicles.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, training sessions, and safety inspections as required.
• Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure smooth transportation, production, and daily operations.
• Drive company cars or vans to transport workers when required.
• Report accidents, incidents, vehicle damage, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
• Perform any other duties related to the position as assigned by the supervisor or management from time to time.
