Job summary

Suria Jerai Electrical Sdn Bhd in Seberang Perai, Penang is seeking an experienced Delivery Lorry Driver. This full‑time role requires safe operation of lorries to transport electrical goods to customers, maintain professional standards on the road, and ensure timely, intact deliveries for our clients.

The ideal candidate holds a valid D and GDL license with a clean record, 3+ years of heavy vehicle driving, excellent time management and route planning, and strong communication with customers

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical goods to customers per schedule and ensure goods arrive in good condition.
• Inspect and maintain company vehicles; report issues promptly.
• Prepare and manage delivery documents (DOs, confirmations, invoices) and submit them after tasks.
• Assist with loading/unloading and arrange goods in stores or premises as needed.
• Support promotions or transfers during major sales campaigns and other tasks as directed by branch manager.

About the role

Suria Jerai Electrical Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and reliable Delivery Lorry Driver to join our transportation team. This is a full-time position based in Seberang Perai, Penang. As a Pemandu Lori, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating lorries to transport goods and materials to various destinations. This role is crucial to our logistics operations and directly impacts our ability to deliver quality service to our clients. You will be the face of our company on the road, maintaining professional standards whilst ensuring timely and secure delivery of consignments.

Key responsibilities

Delivery & Collection of Goods

Delivering electrical goods to customers according to the scheduled timetable.

Ensuring that goods are delivered in good condition, complete, and without damage.

Taking goods or stock from the warehouse, suppliers, or other branches according to management's instructions.

Helping in the process of loading and unloading goods carefully.

Vehicle Maintenance

Conducting daily and periodic inspections of the company's vehicles.

Ensuring the vehicle is always clean and in a safe condition for use.

Report any damage or vehicle-related issues to the management immediately.

Managing vehicle maintenance and servicing according to schedule.

Interact with customers politely, professionally, and friendly during delivery.

Providing basic information about the goods (if required and informed by the sales team).

Report any customer complaints to the supervisor or sales department.

Documentation & Records

Preparing and managing delivery-related documents such as Delivery Orders (DO), customer confirmation forms, and invoices (if required).

Submitting the complete documents to the administration or relevant officer after the task is completed.

Additional Task

Helping with the arrangement of goods in the store or customer premises if needed.

Supporting promotional activities or the transfer of goods during major sales campaigns.

Carrying out other tasks as directed by the branch manager from time to time.

What we're looking for

Valid License D and GDL driving licence with a clean driving record

Age range from 22 to 45 years old

Minimum 3 years of professional lorry or heavy vehicle driving experience

Comprehensive knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws in Malaysia

Excellent time management and route planning skills

Professional communication skills with customers and internal teams

Physical fitness and ability to perform manual loading and unloading tasks

Punctuality, reliability and a strong work ethic
