Job summary

CAPTAIN ICE SDN BHD ( PUCHONG ) is seeking an experienced delivery driver to transport ice and goods with a 1 to 3-ton lorry in and around Puchong. You will communicate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers, and stay safety‑minded at all times.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years driving experience, a valid GDL license, a clean driving record, age 50 or below, and at least SPM or above. Local route knowledge and reliable loading/unloading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
• SPM or above qualification required.
• Valid GDL License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 1 to 3-ton lorry for ice deliveries in Puchong and surrounding areas.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report issues promptly.
• Load and unload goods with proper handling and securement.
• Verify deliveries against invoices or delivery notes; ensure accuracy.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries; interact with clients.
• Plan routes to minimize time and fuel using navigation tools.
• Adhere to safety regulations and wear PPE; participate in safety training.

Job description

License, Requirements & Experience:

Valid GDL License

No Outstanding Traffic Summonses

Age 50 and below

Possess a valid driving license (Class D or equivalent) with a clean driving record; no recent traffic violations or accidents.

Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience operating lorries, preferably 1 to 3 tons (including Ice delivery), with a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.

Skills & Route Knowledge:

Demonstrated ability to safely and efficiently operate a lorry in various traffic and weather conditions, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Thorough knowledge of local routes and delivery areas within Puchong and surrounding regions, with the ability to use navigation systems and maps effectively.

Physical & Professional Attributes:

Physically fit and capable of handling loading, unloading, and securing cargo, ensuring its safe transport to the designated destinations.

Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service, representing Captain Ice Sdn Bhd in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Core Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently operate a 1 to 3-ton lorry to transport goods and materials (Ice delivery) to designated locations in and around Puchong, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the lorry, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and lights, and promptly report any maintenance issues or mechanical defects to the supervisor.

Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securement to prevent damage during transit, and verifying the accuracy of deliveries against invoices or delivery notes.

Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, addressing any concerns or inquiries in a courteous and timely manner, and representing Captain Ice positively.

Plan and optimize delivery routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption, utilizing navigation tools and local knowledge to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safe lifting practices, and participating in safety training programs to maintain a safe working environment.
