Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a responsible Lorry Driver (RORO) to support waste collection and transport operations in Malaysia. You will operate a Class E lorry, perform pre-trip checks, and ensure safe loading/unloading in line with SOPs.

Able to work night shifts, weekends and travel to client sites as required. Minimum 3–5 years of lorry driving with RORO experience is preferred, with Bahasa Malaysia proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM / Certificate or equivalent.
• Possess a valid GDL and Class E Driving Licence.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant lorry driving experience; RORO experience preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an assigned Class E lorry for RORO container collection and transportation.
• Carry out collection, delivery and hauling activities according to assigned schedules and routes.
• Ensure loading, unloading and transportation and hauling activities are carried out according to SOPs.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the lorry is safe and roadworthy.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping of the vehicle and work area.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents or issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Comply with road traffic regulations, safety policies and company procedures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of RORO containers between client sites, landfill facilities and designated locations.

Key responsibilities

Safely operate an assigned Class E lorry for RORO container collection and transportation.

Carry out collection, delivery and hauling activities according to assigned schedules and routes.

Ensure loading, unloading, transportation and hauling activities are carried out according to company SOPs.

Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the lorry is safe and roadworthy.

Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and good housekeeping of the vehicle and work area.

Report vehicle defects, accidents, breakdowns, traffic incidents or operational issues to the supervisor immediately.

Comply with all road traffic regulations, safety policies and company procedures.

Ensure proper use and safekeeping of the assigned lorry, equipment, tools and accessories.

Follow the company's quality and operational requirements.

About you

Minimum SPM / Certificate or equivalent.

Possess a valid GDL and Class E Driving Licence.

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant lorry driving experience; RORO experience is an added advantage.

Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsible, punctual and safety-conscious.

Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle handling.

Physically fit and able to perform duties related to RORO transportation.

Willing to work night shifts, overtime, weekends and public holidays based on operational requirements.

Willing to travel to different client/site locations when required.
