Job summary

Hi-P Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Logistics and Inventory Supervisor to strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services in Kulim, Kedah.

You will monitor stock levels, delivery times and transport costs while liaising with forwarding agents and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will collaborate across departments to improve on-time delivery (JIT), reduce freight costs, and drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Able to liaise with customs
• Able to approve or stop engineering from issuing parts from store
• Able to take corrective actions on personnel who failed to follow procedures or violated process instructions
• Able to make decisions on cost

Responsibilities

• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
• Liaise and negotiate with forwarding agents
• Comply with laws, regulations and customs requirements
• Resolve any arising problems or complaints
• Supervise, coach and train the inventory team
• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
• Work proactively with various departments to realize efficiencies and manage expectations
• Develop and monitor activities to support suppliers on on-time delivery (JIT), freight management, lead time reduction, cost reduction plans, optimum inventory levels, zero shortages and discrepant material
• Reduce freight cost
