Job summary

Soonest Express (M) Sdn Bhd is expanding its Johor Branch and seeks a Warehouse Assistant to support daily warehousing, logistics, and trucking activities. You will handle receiving, storage, picking, packing, loading, and dispatch, while ensuring safety and accuracy in stock control.

The role welcomes fresh graduates and candidates with no experience and provides training. Rotating shifts and occasional travel may be required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing, logistics, trucking, or freight forwarding will be an added advantage.
• Able to read basic English and operate warehouse systems.
• Fresh graduates and candidates without experience are welcome to apply; training will be provided.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties.
• Able to work on rotating shifts.
• Able to travel as and when required to support business and operational needs.
• Basic PC knowledge. Experience operating warehouse IT equipment, such as handheld barcode scanners and warehouse systems, will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily warehouse operations, including receiving, unloading, storing, picking, packing, loading, and dispatch of cargo.
• Ensure cargo and inventory are handled safely, accurately, and in accordance with company SOPs.
• Assist in stock counting, inventory checks, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Prepare, label, and pack cargo according to customer and operational requirements.
• Load and unload containers, trucks, and other vehicles.
• Ensure proper storage, stock arrangement, and housekeeping within the warehouse.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely (where authorized and trained).
• Assist in identifying damaged cargo, stock discrepancies, or operational issues and report them to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Comply with workplace safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
• Assist with sea freight or air freight operational activities whenever required to support business needs.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Manager, or Management.
