Wiwynn Technology Service Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a seasoned professional to lead customs affairs and trade compliance programs in Malaysia.
The role focuses on ensuring import/export activities meet Malaysia Customs regulations, Free Zone requirements, STA, SIRIM, and other regulatory obligations. You will oversee declarations, documentation accuracy, HS code governance, and audits while developing SOPs and providing training to internal stakeholders.
Lead customs affairs and trade compliance programs to ensure all import and export activities comply with Malaysia Customs regulations, Free Zone requirements, Strategic Trade Act (STA), SIRIM approvals, and other regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Customs Compliance
Oversee import and export declaration compliance.
Ensure customs documentation accuracy and completeness.
Manage tariff classification and HS Code governance.
Coordinate customs audits, investigations, and regulatory inspections.
Maintain customs records and audit readiness.
Manage Strategic Trade Act (STA) compliance program and Internal Compliance Program (ICP).
Conduct export control screening and compliance assessments.
Support permit applications and regulatory submissions.
Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impact.
Develop and maintain trade compliance SOPs and work instructions.
Free Zone Management
Ensure compliance with Free Zone Act and Free Industrial Zone operational requirements.
Monitor movement of goods between Free Zone and Principal Customs Area (PCA).
Support inventory reconciliation and customs reporting requirements.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on Free Zone matters.
Permit & Regulatory Management
Manage SIRIM permit applications and approvals.
Coordinate permit applications with MITI, MCMC, SIRIM, Customs, and other government agencies.
Ensure permit validity and compliance monitoring.
Maintain working knowledge of Dagang Net platform and customs electronic declaration systems.
Support K1, K2, K8 and other customs declaration processes.
Liaise with customs brokers to ensure declaration accuracy and compliance.
Training & Audit
Conduct customs and trade compliance training for internal stakeholders.
Lead internal compliance reviews and corrective action programs.
Support ISO, AEO, customer, and government audits.
Requirements
Degree in Logistics, International Trade, Customs Management, Law, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Customs Affairs, Trade Compliance, or Regulatory Compliance.
Strong knowledge of:
Malaysia Customs Act
Free Zone Act
Strategic Trade Act (STA)
Internal Compliance Program (ICP)
Incoterms and Import/Export Regulations
Experience dealing with Customs, MITI, MCMC, SIRIM, and trade compliance audits.
