Job summary

Coherent Corp. Malaysia, Ipoh, is seeking an experienced Logistics/Shipping Manager to lead import/export and warehousing across our sites.

You will develop compliant systems, optimise procedures, and ensure on-time delivery while meeting SOP, quality, SOX and customs policies. The ideal candidate holds a related degree with 10+ years in logistics, strong customs knowledge, and excellent communication and government liaison skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field with at least 10 years in Logistics/Shipping management.
• Strong knowledge of customs law and compliance.
• Good communication and government liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Do ' whatever it takes' to meet or exceed customers' expectations in compliance with the logistics SOP, Quality, SOX and custom policies.
• Develop and implement effective shipping/storage systems, procedures to ensure compliance to import/export regulations and facilitate fast custom clearance of materials and shipments
• Build working relationship with internal and external bodies for insight into future trends development in compliance with country law and business needs
• Implement freight cost control program in monitoring finish goods and raw materials delivery costs.
• Lead and manage a team of staff pertaining to import/export and warehousing functions for all logistics factory sites in Malaysia
• Planning of logistic support to ensure timely delivery of goods; Ensure staff's compliance to CUSTOM rules and regulations, cost control and quality programs; EHS, 5S guidelines etc.
