Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a Pricing Analyst in Malaysia to support ocean freight pricing activities and procurement strategies. The role collaborates with commercial, product, and regional stakeholders to deliver competitive pricing solutions in a dynamic logistics environment. Onsite, 6-month contract.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in sea freight pricing and strong negotiation skills, with proficiency in Excel and office applications. Salary is commensurate with experience and market rates.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Sea Freight Pricing, Ocean Freight Procurement & Quotation/Tender Management.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute sea freight pricing strategies across key trade lanes.
• Analyze market trends and provide pricing insights to support business growth.
• Prepare and manage quotations for RFQ, RFP, and tender opportunities.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Product teams to ensure profitable pricing solutions.
• Review and validate freight rates from overseas offices and network partners.
• Source, negotiate, and maintain competitive ocean freight rates with carriers and vendors.
• Support procurement initiatives and align with carrier strategies.
• Participate in carrier performance reviews and vendor meetings.
• Manage capacity agreements and maintain pricing databases.
• Monitor market developments and industry trends.
• Generate reports and share pricing intelligence with stakeholders.
• Build strong working relationships with regional offices, agents, and internal teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in: Sea Freight Pricing, Ocean Freight Procurement & Quotation / Tender Management
• Strong understanding of: Ocean Freight Operations, Shipping Lines & Carrier Networks, Incoterms & International Freight Forwarding Processes
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
