Job summary

Altera in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Operations & OSR Governance lead to manage global logistics execution, OSR workflow improvements, and process automation across sites.

The role requires cross-functional project management, analytics, and strong ERP/logistics systems experience, including Oracle/SAP and WMS/TMS, with a focus on compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, logistics, IE, business, or related field.
• 7–10+ years in Global Logistics Operations and related areas.
• Experience with ERP and logistics platforms; familiarity with import/export compliance.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Logistics Operations Management Own Factory Dock and shipment execution processes across global sites. Monitor logistics operational performance, shipment turnaround times, and service level adherence. Support escalation management for critical customer, engineering, and manufacturing shipments. Coordinate with 3PL partners, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution.

Oracle Shipping Request (OSR) Governance

Act as global process owner for the Oracle Shipping Request (OSR) platform. Develop, maintain, and improve OSR workflows, SOPs, user guides, and training materials. Drive adoption and process compliance across worldwide sites. Lead user training and communication of process changes and system enhancements.

Process Improvement & Automation

Analyze logistics process bottlenecks and identify opportunities for automation and simplification. Lead initiatives to reduce shipment turnaround time, improve user experience, and enhance operational efficiency. Partner with IT and system teams to prioritize enhancements and resolve system-related issues. Establish metrics and dashboards to measure process effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Project Management

Manage logistics-related projects from concept through deployment. Coordinate activities across Trade Compliance, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams. Develop project plans, risk mitigation strategies, and executive updates. Support network optimization, warehouse initiatives, and logistics transformation projects.

Operational Analytics & Reporting

Manage logistics performance reporting and operational dashboards. Analyze shipment trends, service levels, and root causes of delays. Prepare executive-level summaries and recommendations. Support business reviews and operational governance meetings.

Trade & Compliance Support

Work closely with Trade Compliance and Customs teams to resolve shipment clearance issues. Improve shipment documentation standards and shipment request quality. Ensure logistics processes meet regulatory and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Education Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Experience 7–10+ years of experience in: Global Logistics Operations Supply Chain Operations Warehouse / Distribution Operations Logistics Systems or Process Excellence Experience working with ERP and logistics platforms such as Oracle, SAP, WMS, TMS, or equivalent. Experience managing cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Preferred Semiconductor, electronics, high-tech manufacturing, or global supply chain experience. Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent operational excellence background. Familiarity with import/export compliance and customs processes.
