Job summary

Tiong Nam Logistics in Shah Alam, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimise end-to-end logistics and warehouse activities.

You will oversee daily operations, manage transport, mentor staff, analyze KPIs, and ensure compliance with safety standards while collaborating with sales, procurement, and finance.

Qualifications

• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize logistics, warehouse, and transportation processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and stock control, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage transportation logistics, coordinating with carriers, optimizing routes, and ensuring timely delivery of goods while adhering to safety regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor a team of operational staff, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional development.
• Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective actions, and report on KPIs to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies within the logistics and warehousing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, procurement, and finance to ensure seamless integration of operations with overall business objectives.
• Manage operational budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.
• Proficiency in utilizing logistics management software and other relevant technologies to enhance operational efficiency and data analysis.

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve operational issues promptly and professionally, maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and systems through innovation and the adoption of best practices.
