Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Logistic Cum Warehouse Assistant to support shipment preparation and related documentation. You will check goods against Loading Lists, ensure packing meets OS standards, and coordinate with the Production Leader to address missing items before shipments.

You will also prepare loading lists, plan lorry needs, label items, and assist in packing lists, invoices, and delivery orders, while updating daily records and liaising with forwarders.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics preparation and loading operations.
• Ability to prepare loading lists and coordinate with production.
• Attention to packaging standards and weight calculations.

Responsibilities

• Check goods based on the Loading List to ensure packing is completed.
• Ensure packaging meets OS requirements (plastic pallets, wooden pallets, blocks, U-channels, or loose packing).
• Highlight issues to Production Leader via WhatsApp at least 2 days before shipment.
• Prepare and place goods on appropriate packaging and stack if required.
• Count and label goods with OS number, Item number, and Quantity; verify against Loading List.
• Stay alert to shipment schedules and be prepared in advance.
• Arrange goods in Logistics area according to loading sequence and lorry allocation.
• Load goods safely into lorries and ensure items are secure and in good condition.
• Prepare the Loading List based on the Loading Plan from the Production Manager.
• Calculate lorry size and number of lorries needed per shipment.
• Check items on the Loading List and mark readiness and labeling.
• Prepare Department Requisition Forms for pallets and cartons for Air Freight.
• Plan to maximize pallet and lorry usage; calculate total weight of goods.
• Update the Daily Outstanding List and OS hardcopy records.
• Assist in preparing Packing List, Proforma Invoice, Delivery Order, and Invoice.
• Assist in lorry bookings with forwarders.
• Prepare Consignment Notes for outgoing items.

AVAILABLE HIRE : 2 - 3 WORKERS

Section A: Preparing & Loading (Logistics)

1. Shipment Preparation

• Check goods based on the Loading List to ensure packing is completed.
• Ensure packaging meets OS (Operations Standards) requirements (e.g., plastic pallets, wooden pallets, wooden blocks, U-channels, or loose packing).
• Highlight to the Production Leader via WhatsApp group any items not received from Production (at least 2 days before shipment).
• Prepare and place goods on the appropriate packaging (stacking if required).
• Count and label goods clearly with:
  • OS number
  • Item number
  • Quantity
  • Ensure physical quantity matches the Loading List.
• Stay alert to shipment schedules and be prepared in advance.
• Arrange goods in the Logistics area according to loading sequence and lorry allocation.
• Load goods safely into lorries, ensuring all items are secure and in good condition.

Section B: Documentation (Logistics)

• Prepare the Loading List based on the Loading Plan from the Production Manager.
• Calculate lorry size and the number of lorries needed per shipment.
• Check all items on the Loading List and mark them upon readiness and labeling.
• Calculate and issue Department Requisition Forms for:
  • Monthly quantity of wooden/plastic pallets (HPT, Exyte - Micron & Intel).
  • Carton quantity and sizes for Air Freight shipments.
• Plan to maximize pallet and lorry usage (optimize arrangement).
• Calculate total weight of goods per shipment.
• Update the Daily Outstanding List.
• Update OS hardcopy records for:
  • Delivery dates
  • Quantity shipped
  • Extra or shortage quantities
• Assist in preparing:
  • Packing List
  • Proforma Invoice
  • Delivery Order (DO)
  • Invoice
• Assist in lorry bookings (import & export) with forwarders.
• Prepare Consignment Notes for outgoing items (e.g., scrap sales, waste disposal).
