Job summary

Pauline Prathibha & Associates in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Legal Intern, Legal Clerk or Legal Executive to join the Brickfields office. This full-time role offers hands-on experience in litigation and dispute resolution, working with seasoned professionals to develop practical legal skills.

You will conduct research, draft documents, assist in case preparation, liaise with clients and support senior lawyers, while maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law from a recognised institution.
• Strong written and verbal communication with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in legal research and the ability to analyse complex legal issues.
• Competency in Microsoft Office and legal software applications.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conducting legal research on matters relating to litigation and dispute resolution.
• Drafting and preparing legal documents, correspondence, and court pleadings under supervision.
• Assisting in the preparation of case files and maintaining organised file management systems.
• Supporting senior lawyers in client matters, including preparing case summaries and memoranda.
• Liaising with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to facilitate smooth case progression.
• Undertaking administrative tasks including scheduling, billing, and general office support.
• Attending court hearings and taking notes on proceedings as required.
• Assisting with legal due diligence and fact-finding investigations.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of legal templates and precedent documents.
