Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily production line activities in SMT and PCBA manufacturing, ensuring production, quality, and delivery targets are met. You will coordinate manpower and resources, resolve operational issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on a busy factory floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline or Diploma with 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on SMT and PCBA manufacturing experience is required.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work flexible/shifting schedules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workload and manpower allocation with Line Manager based on product priorities.
• Minimize waste and ensure availability of materials and equipment.
• Address employee concerns and provide timely feedback.
• Develop, motivate and coach team members to achieve high performance.
• Enforce company policies while providing fair, flexible leadership.
• Monitor production and shipment schedules to meet targets.
• Ensure accurate production records and checklists are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Line Manager to organize production line workload and manpower allocation based on product priorities.
• Minimize excess materials on the production floor while ensuring proper storage and adequate availability of operational supplies and equipment.
• Address employee issues, concerns, and recommendations promptly and effectively.
• Develop, motivate, and coach team members to achieve their full potential through timely formal and informal performance feedback.
• Administer company policies fairly and consistently while exercising appropriate judgment when individual circumstances require flexibility.
• Monitor product flow to ensure daily and weekly production and shipment schedules are achieved.
• Ensure control charts, checklists, and production records are completed accurately and at the required intervals.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards throughout the production line.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline; or
• Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing is required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willing to work on a flexible shift schedule, including rotating shifts when required.
