Job summary

Howdy Master Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on SMT production supervisor to oversee daily line activities in a Malaysia-based electronics factory. You will assign operators, monitor SMT line performance, and ensure correct material loading and adherence to work instructions to meet output, quality and delivery targets.

You will coordinate with Process, Equipment Engineering and Quality teams to resolve production issues, monitor SMT processes, and ensure ESD control, 5S, and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in SMT production or PCB assembly environment.
• Able to read and follow production instructions and complete basic production reports.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assign operators according to production schedules and manpower requirements.
• Monitor SMT machine operation, line performance, production output and downtime.
• Ensure correct material loading, feeder setup and adherence to work instructions.
• Coordinate with Process/Equipment Engineering and Quality teams to resolve production issues.
• Monitor solder paste printing, component placement, reflow soldering and inspection processes.
• Ensure operators follow ESD control, 5S, safety and quality procedures.
• Record production output, defects, downtime and manpower attendance.
• Escalate equipment breakdowns, material shortages and quality abnormalities to the relevant departments.
• Train operators and monitor their work performance.

About you

High school, vocational or technical qualification; relevant experience may be considered

Experience in SMT production within an electronics manufacturing factory

Knowledge of SMT processes, PCB assembly, component handling and production line control

Experience leading production operators or technicians is preferred

Able to read production instructions and complete basic production reports

Good teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills
