Job summary

Summit Paradise Sdn Bhd is seeking a kitchen support role to assist in preparing food items according to standard recipes, ensuring consistent taste and presentation. You will maintain a clean workstation, follow FIFO stock rotation, and operate kitchen equipment safely under supervision.

Partner with the kitchen team during peak hours, monitor food quality, and report discrepancies to the chef. Adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and adherence to recipes.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to rotate stock using FIFO principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, and chopping as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, following schedules and procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers and ovens safely and under supervision.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion control to ensure consistent quality and minimize waste.
• Assist in plating and garnishing to meet presentation standards.
• Receive, store and rotate supplies, labeling properly to prevent spoilage (FIFO).
• Support the kitchen team to maintain inventory and communicate shortages.
• Adhere to all safety and hygiene regulations and prevent cross‑contamination.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely task completion.
• Dispose of waste following established recycling and disposal procedures.
