Job summary

Sodexo Malaysia in Shah Alam seeks a culinary professional to support basic and intermediate food preparation, following recipes and mise en place standards. You will work with the Cook and BOH team to ensure smooth service in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Education in culinary arts or related field.
• 1–2 years of kitchen experience.
• Food Safety and HACCP certification advantageous.
• Exposure to hot/cold kitchen stations; baking/pastry a plus.
• Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and intermediate food preparation tasks as assigned by the Cook.
• Follow standard recipes and portion guidelines accurately.
• Prepare mise en place ahead of service to ensure station readiness.
• Maintain station cleanliness and organization throughout the day.
• Assist with station breakdown and cleaning after service.
• Report equipment issues or inventory concerns promptly.
• Adhere to HACCP, FEFO/FIFO, and other food safety protocols.
