Job summary

Luminor FH Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur invites a motivated student to join our small legal team as an internship. You’ll work directly with our General Counsel on live financing documents, fundraising materials, and partner agreements, receiving real drafts and constructive feedback.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in financing, corporate law, due diligence, and regulatory research, with mentorship and exposure to AI tools to support documentation. Fluency in English required; Mandarin is a plus.

Job description

We're a small legal team, so you'll work directly with our General Counsel on live deals: financing documents for merchants, our own fundraising, and agreements with the partners we work with. Expect real work and real feedback. You'll be given drafts to do, not just reading.

What you’ll work on

Help prepare and review financing documentation for merchant deals, including funding agreements, security documents, guarantees and the related checklists

Support fundraising work, from term sheets, subscription and shareholder documents to due diligence requests and keeping the data room in order

Draft and review partnership agreements with marketplaces, logistics providers, 3PLs and referral partners, plus the NDAs and MOUs that come before them

Research regulatory questions that affect how we fund and raise money (MAS, SC Malaysia, AML/CFT, PDPA) and write short memos on what they mean for us

Keep track of open deals, conditions precedent and deadlines, and chase colleagues or counterparties for what's missing.

Who we're looking for

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Law, or Finance with a strong interest in legal and commercial matters.

Strong interest in financing, fundraising, corporate law, or fintech.

Good legal research, analytical, and writing skills.

Good attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Mandarin is an advantage.

Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Willing to learn and explore AI tools to support legal research and documentation.
