The Legal & Company Secretarial Department is headed by the General Counsel, who reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and forms part of the Generali Group General Counsel Function.
The Department is responsible for providing legal, corporate secretarial and regulatory support across Generali Malaysia, including its holding company, save for matters falling within the purview of the Compliance Department.
The Legal Intern will report to the Vice President, Legal within the Legal & Company Secretarial Department and will provide support on legal, corporate secretarial, regulatory and administrative matters as assigned.
Main Responsibility
To support administrative work under Legal Affairs
- Assist the Legal team in their administrative aspect of legal services including the review of simple standard template documents.
- Maintain and organise soft copies of legal documents in the designated document repository.
- File and organise litigation-related documents, cause papers and legal correspondence in the designated shared folders to ensure propose record management.
- Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, regulations and industry developments to support legal reviews, advisory work and drafting exercises.
- Support the Legal team in liaising with internal stakeholders to obtain information and documentation required for legal actions, disputes and litigation matter and monitor timelines to ensure timely submission.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Legal & Company Secretarial Department as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification and Experience Requirement
Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognised university, or a recent law graduate.
Experience: Final-year law student or recent law graduate.
