Job summary

Composites Technology Research Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a qualified legal professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law with Honors and admission as an Advocate & Solicitor. The role requires at least 3 years of relevant experience in corporate legal, contracts, and regulatory compliance within the aerospace or high-tech sector.

• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements (NDA, MSA, LTA, Tooling, etc.).
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks in contracts and supply chain matters.
• Manage contract lifecycle, renewals, amendments, terminations, and records.
• Provide legal support for procurement, tender, sourcing, and capital expenditure activities.
• Coordinate litigation, arbitration, mediation, and external counsel; monitor costs.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Law with Honors

Job description

Bachelor's Degree in Law with Honors and admission as an Advocate & Solicitor is preferred.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as an Advocate & Solicitor, Legal Counsel, or in a corporate legal, industrial, or statutory body.

Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial agreements, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.

Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and legal documentation.

Knowledge of dispute resolution, litigation management, and claims handling is an advantage.

Exposure to the aviation or aerospace industry, including aviation laws and regulatory requirements, is an added advantage.

Familiarity with corporate governance, anti-bribery and corruption compliance, and enterprise risk management.

Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, including Long Term Agreements (LTA), Master Supply Agreements (MSA), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Tooling Agreements, Consignment Agreements, and Logistics & Warehousing Agreements.

Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks relating to contractual obligations, liabilities, warranties, indemnities, and supply chain matters.

Manage contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, terminations, and contract records.

Develop, review, and maintain standard legal templates, policies, and contractual documentation.

Provide legal support for procurement, tender, sourcing, and capital expenditure activities.

Manage contractual claims, commercial disputes, warranty issues, insurance claims, and settlement negotiations.

Coordinate litigation, arbitration, mediation, and external legal counsel while monitoring legal costs and performance.

Support corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, policies, and delegation of authority documentation.

Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, anti-bribery requirements, and the company's Code of Business Conduct.

Support legal compliance, internal audits, risk management, and regulatory reviews.

Review customer and supplier contractual requirements to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and aerospace industry standards.

Support supply chain compliance initiatives relating to responsible sourcing, conflict minerals, forced labour regulations, human rights due diligence, and sustainability requirements.

Provide timely legal advice and practical solutions to business units on legal, contractual, and regulatory matters.
