Job summary

EVE Energy Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks a capable legal professional to oversee foreign-related contracts and disputes. You will participate in negotiations, protect the company’s interests, and support the legal risk framework across multidisciplinary teams.

You will liaise with local lawyers and the headquarters in China, ensuring compliance with Malaysian regulations in manufacturing, construction, and employment law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above, majoring in law.
• Proficient in Bahasa Melayu, English and Mandarin.
• Prefer experience in construction contract review and claims management.
• Familiar with Malaysian laws on manufacturing, civil business, construction and employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/evaluate foreign-related contracts and participate in major contract negotiations.
• Handle foreign-related disputes and safeguard the company's rights; escalate major cases to HQ International Legal Department.
• Contribute to building and improving the company's legal risk control system.
• Provide labor legal affairs support for the company.
• Communicate and liaise with local lawyers; manage seal and internal legal training.

Job description

• Responsible for the preparation/evaluation of the company's foreign-related contracts, and participate in the negotiation of major contracts.
• Participate in the handling of company's foreign-related disputes and disputes, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the company. Control the case risk, **escalate** major contracts and litigation cases (limited to contracts as well as cases that have a significant impact on the company's assets, liabilities, rights and interests and operating results) to the International Legal Department at headquarters.
• Participate in the construction and improvement of the company's legal risk control system.
• Responsible for the company's labor legal affairs support.
• Responsible for communication and liaison with local lawyers.
• Seal management, internal legal training and other matters.
• Familiar with Malaysian laws and regulations on manufacturing, civil business, construction, intellectual property, commercial disputelabor , and employment law, occupational safety and health, social security, etc.
• Experience in local litigation and arbitration cases.
• Understanding of compliance and risk management system basics.
• Bachelor degree or above, majoring in law related disciplines
• Proficient in Bahasa Melayu, English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.(It is necessary to connect with the headquarters in China and relevant stakeholders.)
• Passing the Malay Law Examination (MYCLP) is preferred.
• Preference will be given to candidates who possess demonstrated experience in construction contract review and claims management.
