Job summary

Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad is seeking an Assistant Manager, Legal to provide comprehensive legal support across the business. You will review and negotiate contracts, advise on regulatory matters, and manage litigation coordination with external counsel when required.

You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure activities comply with applicable laws, draft and refine policy documents and customer-facing materials, and deliver practical legal solutions in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• LLB degree with Malaysian Bar admission or CLP.
• PQE: Executive 1–3 years or Assistant Manager 3–5 years.
• Insurance/financial services experience is advantageous.
• Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Articulate Agile & Adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including services, technology, NDAs, investment, collaboration and intra-group arrangements.
• Review and advise on legal documents, policy documents, terms and conditions, privacy notices and other customer-facing materials.
• Manage litigation, disputes, investigations and pre-litigation matters with external counsel where required.
• Conduct legal research and keep stakeholders informed of relevant legal and regulatory developments.
• Provide legal advice and practical solutions to business units on contractual matters.
• Undertake any other legal and related duties as assigned.
