Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a capable Legal & Compliance Specialist to support day-to-day operations, draft, review, revise, and negotiate a wide range of contracts across corporate and commercial projects, products, and services. You will identify and address legal risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with external corporate secretaries, government authorities, and law firms.

The role requires a law degree (Bachelor's or Diploma), at least 2 years' experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Law, Regulatory Compliance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in legal and compliance roles.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian corporate and commercial law, as well as litigation practices is an added advantage.
• Strong team working skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and stay organized.
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently while fostering collaboration.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, reasoning, negotiation, and legal research skills to develop practical and innovative solutions, while effectively partnering with different stakeholders on execution.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate a wide range of contracts for corporate and commercial projects, products, and services.
• Identify and address legal risks and provide practical solutions aligned with business strategy.
• Coordinate with external corporate secretaries for filing of statutory forms, documents, and resolutions.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting obligations are met by regulated entities.
• Collaborate with external law firms on contractual, commercial, and litigation matters.
• Assist Legal Advisor in liaising with external lawyers, government authorities, and other parties.
• Assist with litigation matters, prepare and organize case documents.
• Maintain proper records and filing of legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
• Perform additional duties as directed by management.
