Job summary

Rahmat Lim & Partners is seeking an Associate (3-6 years PQE) to join its Intellectual Property & Technology practice in Malaysia. The role involves handling a broad range of contentious IP disputes, including IP and IT litigation, criminal enforcement and administrative action, as well as non-contentious IP commercialisation work, including drafting IP and TMT agreements.

The ideal candidate will have a 2:1 law degree, be admitted or awaiting admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High

Qualifications

• Second-class upper law degree (2:1) or equivalent from a reputable university and admitted or awaiting admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
• 2-6 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Excellent drafting, legal research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in handling complex matters.
• Genuine interest in contentious work, with commitment to professional development.

We are seeking dynamic and driven individuals to join our Intellectual Property & Technology practice as an Associate. On the contentious front, the successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of contentious intellectual property disputes, including IP and IT litigation, criminal enforcement and administrative action.On the non-contentious front, the successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of transactions that focus on IP commercialisation and exploitation, including drafting of IP and TMT agreements.

Requirements:

• a minimum second-class upper law degree (2:1) or equivalent from a reputable university and must have been admitted or awaiting admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya;
• 2-6 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE);
• excellent drafting, legal research, and analytical skills;
