Job summary

Jeeva Partnership in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Legal Associate for a full-time, on-site role. You will conduct legal research, draft and review contracts, pleadings, and other documents, and assist in case preparation across core practice areas.

You will support senior lawyers in litigation, arbitration, and mediation, attend courts and client meetings, and help manage case files. You will monitor regulatory developments and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law with ability to apply principles across issues.
• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts, pleadings, and advisory documents.
• Analytical skills to assess fact patterns, risks, and support case strategy.
• Effective written and verbal communication for client, court submissions, and collaboration.
• Relevant academic qualifications, preferably a recognized law degree and admission to practice in Malaysia.
• Attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage multiple matters.
• Prior exposure or interest in litigation or dispute resolution is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Kuala Lumpur with client-focused, solutions-oriented approach.

Role Description

The Legal Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Legal Associate will support senior lawyers in litigation, arbitration, and mediation matters, attend court and client meetings as required, and help manage case files and documentation. The position also includes advising on legal issues under supervision, monitoring relevant legislative and regulatory developments, and contributing to internal knowledge-sharing within the firm.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law with the ability to identify, interpret, and apply legal principles to a range of legal issues.
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts, pleadings, and advisory documents.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills to assess complex fact patterns, evaluate risks, and support case strategy and legal opinions.
• Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear client communication, court submissions, and internal collaboration.
