Qualifications

• Active registration with the Nursing Board Malaysia (LJM)
• Fulfillment of CPD requirements
• Valid APC and teaching permit
• Minimum Master in Nursing (PhD welcomed)

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, tutorials, and clinical instruction for undergraduate and/or postgraduate nursing programs
• Assess, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback on student performance in both theoretical and clinical components
• Provide leadership in planning, coordinating, and delivering nursing courses at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels
• Lead the development, review, and enhancement of course syllabi, teaching strategies, and learning resources
• Ensure alignment of teaching and learning activities with programme learning outcomes, LJM requirements, and MQA standards
• Mentor and guide lecturers and clinical instructors in effective teaching, assessment, and clinical supervision practices
• Lead the preparation, review, and moderation of continuous assessment and final examination questions to ensure academic rigor and standardisation
• Lead and actively engage in research activities relevant to nursing, healthcare, and education
• Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to lecturers and clinical instructors
• Chair or actively contribute to academic committees, programme review panels, and quality assurance initiatives

To deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in nursing education. In addition to fulfilling the roles and responsibilities of a Lecturer, the Senior Lecturer provides academic leadership in teaching, curriculum development, assessment, research, and quality assurance. The role involves mentoring junior academic staff, contributing to strategic academic initiatives, and ensuring compliance with Malaysian Nursing Board (LJM) and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) standards, while supporting the mission and vision of the university.
