Job summary

Prince Court Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Nursing Education Lead to plan and oversee clinical teaching, education, and skills training for nursing staff and students. The role ensures alignment with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and patient-centered care.

The successful candidate will drive educational strategies, collaborate with Medical and MOH partners, and manage budgets to sustain high-quality nursing education and clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Diploma and or Degree in Nursing.
• Preferably holds a Bachelor Degree and or Master in Nursing.
• Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board.
• Valid Annual Practicing Certificate.
• Possession of Post Basic Certificates is an added advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• 5 years’ experience in clinical teaching.
• Expertise in Nursing Clinical Practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct clinical teaching, education and skills training to improve nursing practice and patient care.
• Implement nursing strategies and objectives in line with hospital policies, accreditation standards, IPSGs/MPSGs and professional requirements.
• Provide leadership and clinical support to nursing staff.
• Support Senior Nursing Management in implementing Clinical Nursing Education strategies.
• Coach and guide nursing staff to improve knowledge, skills and competency.
• Assess staff training needs and develop appropriate education and training programmes.
• Develop, implement and evaluate clinical education, Post Basic and skills training programmes.
• Collaborate with Medical, Allied Health, MOH, educational institutions and other external organisations on training activities.
• Develop and maintain nursing professional practice and education standards.
• Monitor the effectiveness and quality of clinical education programmes.
• Manage and monitor the Clinical Nursing Education budget.
• Support the implementation and evaluation of nursing strategies and quality improvement initiatives.
• Supervise and coordinate Patient Care Assistants (PCA) and support staff involved in student learning and clinical training.
• Ensure nursing staff are adequately trained to provide safe, quality and patient-centred care.
