Job summary

SEGi College Sarawak is seeking a Nursing lecturer to prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment questions in line with Malaysian Nursing Board standards. The role involves delivering quality teaching and coordinating clinical practice placements.

You will monitor attendance, provide pastoral support, and engage in professional activities to enhance learning; a Bachelor or Master in Nursing and valid APC are required, with at least five years of nursing clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Nursing or Master in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse with the Malaysian Nursing Board (LKM) possessing a current APC.
• Minimum of five years of clinical working experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Teaching or clinical instructing experience is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English language.

Job description

Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, test and examination questions preparation by ensuring it is compliance with the Malaysian Nursing Board standards.

Monitor class attendance and to report any absenteeism, and to always maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment.

Provide pastoral care to support the overall development of the students, engaging in activities, provide quality teaching and clinical practice placement experience to the students.

Participate in professional, academic and other relevant activities, at national and international levels to obtain professional qualifications to enhance teaching and learning experience.

Requirements

Possess a Bachelor in Nursing or Master in Nursing

Registered Nurse with the Malaysian Nursing Board (LKM) possessing a current and valid Annual Practice Certificate (APC).

Minimum of five (5) years of clinical working experience as a Registered Nurse. Teaching or clinical instructing experience is an added advantage.

Proficiency in spoken and written English language

Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills; demonstrated commitment to student-centered learning and academic excellence.
